You need clarity on income, tax, banking, working arrangements, and whether your plan is realistic.

The challenge

Moving to Madinah is a beautiful goal — but the process can feel confusing.

Many people dream of moving to Madinah, but they are unsure how to prepare financially, practically, and administratively before the move.

How much money do I need before moving?

Can I work remotely from Madinah?

How do I find accommodation in Madinah?

What schools or halqah options are available?

How will my family settle?

What about transport in Madinah?

How do I manage bank accounts and money transfers?

What if my income is not stable after moving?

What happens to my UK tax?

Can I keep my UK business or job?

Should I rent out my UK property?

The solution

A clear plan before you move.

Planning timeline

Know what to handle before, during, and after the move.

A move to Madinah is easier to think through when the decisions are placed into a timeline. We help you separate what matters now from what can wait.

3-6 months before

Build the plan

Review tax, income, savings, UK property, business structure, school/halqah needs, and realistic monthly costs.

1-2 months before

Prepare the move

Shortlist accommodation areas, organise banking and transfers, prepare documents, and tighten your arrival budget.

After arrival

Settle properly

Work through transport, routines, family settling-in, local introductions where possible, and ongoing UK-side obligations.

Why starting early matters

Waiting does not make the difficult decisions disappear.

It usually compresses them into the weeks before departure, when deposits are being paid and family expectations are already set. Starting now gives you time to identify what is viable, what needs work, and what should not be rushed.

01

Income and residency need to agree

A hopeful move date is not yet a route. Your lawful residency position, work arrangements, and dependable income need to be considered together.

02

UK obligations do not end at departure

Tax residence, Self Assessment, a UK business, employment, or rental property may all need attention before and after you leave.

03

Family decisions have lead times

Accommodation, education, documents, transport, and routines are easier to assess before arrival pressure narrows your choices.

04

Your financial runway needs testing

A realistic budget should allow for deposits, setup costs, changing income, and the possibility that settling takes longer than expected.

Moving within six months? Find the gaps while you still have time to address them.

Personally relocated from the UK to Madinah in August 2025

Our story

Our Journey to Madinah

For many years, moving to Madinah felt like a distant dream. We wanted our children to grow up close to Masjid an-Nabawi, surrounded by the Qur'an, the Arabic language, and a peaceful Islamic environment.

In August 2025, that dream became a reality. We left the UK, packed our lives into suitcases, and moved to Madinah as a family. The journey was exciting, emotional, and at times challenging. We had to learn how to find a home, arrange education, understand local systems, and settle into a completely new way of life.

Now, having experienced the process ourselves, we want to help other families who share the same dream. Through honest advice, practical guidance, and our own experiences, we hope to make your journey to Madinah clearer, easier, and less overwhelming.

Madinah is not only the place we moved to. It is the place we now call home.

FAQ

Questions before you begin.

Can you guarantee me a job in Madinah?

No. We can share general employment-preparation information and discuss qualifications, income planning, and where people may look for opportunities. We are not a recruitment agency and cannot guarantee employment.

Can you arrange a Saudi visa or sponsor my residency?

No. We do not provide immigration legal advice, arrange visas, or sponsor residency. You must confirm a lawful route through official Saudi channels or an appropriately qualified immigration professional.

Do I need an income before moving?

A dependable income plan or sufficient financial runway is an important part of a sustainable move. The right amount depends on your family, timing, residency route, accommodation, and ongoing commitments.

Can non-UK residents use the service?

Yes. Practical relocation planning is available internationally. Specialist UK tax, property, and business guidance is included only where a UK connection applies.

Why do I need to complete an assessment?

The assessment helps us organise a high volume of enquiries, understand your circumstances, protect limited calendar time, and direct you to a proportionate next step.

Is the free suitability call a complete consultation?

No. It is a limited 15-minute call for selected planning-stage applicants. It identifies the main areas requiring preparation but does not provide a full personalised plan.

What happens during the £49 consultation?

The 45-minute video consultation reviews your timeline, family requirements, income and financial readiness, accommodation, education, transport, banking, and relevant UK tax or property questions. A personal action checklist follows.

Can you help after I arrive in Madinah?

Practical arrival and settling-in support may be available depending on scope and capacity. Complete the assessment so the level of support can be reviewed.

Is this immigration advice?

No. We do not provide immigration legal advice. We provide UK tax, financial organisation, practical relocation guidance, and general support.

Do I need to close my UK company before moving?

Not always. It depends on your situation. We can help you understand the tax and practical considerations.

Can I rent out my UK house before moving?

Many people consider this option. We can help you understand rental income, tax, record-keeping, and planning points.

Do I still need to file a UK tax return after moving?

It depends on your UK income, property, business, and tax position. We can review this with you.

Can I work remotely from Madinah?

Many people explore remote income before moving. We can help you think through your options and create a realistic income plan.

Can you help me find accommodation in Madinah?

We can provide area guidance, practical search considerations, and introductions where separately agreed, but we do not act as an estate agent and cannot guarantee accommodation.

Can I buy property in Madinah?

Foreign ownership of property is prohibited in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, so renting is the standard route. The consultation covers how the rental market actually works for newcomers.

Can you help with schools or halqah?

We can provide general guidance based on available options and help you compare family requirements. We cannot guarantee school places, admissions, Qur’an classes, or halqah availability.

Can you collect my family from the airport?

Airport collection or arrival arrangements may be available when separately agreed as part of practical support. Availability and price must be confirmed in writing.

Can you help with bank accounts and money transfers?

We can provide practical guidance around organising your UK and Saudi banking, but we do not provide regulated financial advice.

How much money should I save before moving?

This depends on your family size, rent, income, lifestyle, and how long you want a safety buffer. We can help you build a simple budget.

Is my information kept private?

Assessment information is used to organise and respond to your enquiry, operate the booking process, and meet professional or legal obligations. We do not ask for passports, identity documents, bank details, or other unnecessary sensitive records in the initial assessment.

Important Disclaimer: Aurestone Advisory and Move to Madinah provide practical relocation guidance, financial organisation support, UK tax guidance where applicable and general information based on experience. We do not provide immigration legal advice, regulated financial advice, recruitment services, visa sponsorship, estate agency services or guaranteed placements. Accommodation, employment, schools, halqah, banking and transport arrangements cannot be guaranteed.
